ASTM A537 CLASS 2 plates are normally supplied in the as-rolled condition. The plates may be ordered normalized or stress relieved or both.
ASTM A537 CLASS 2 steel plates normalized. A537 CLASS 2 and SA537Cl3 plates shall be quenched and tempered. The tempering temperature for Cl2 plates shall not be less than 1100°F [595°C] for not less than 1⁄2 h and 1150°F [620°C] for Class 3 plates for not less than 1⁄2 h.
